The Phanthom Pro
The Phanthom Pro is a chopped, flip-front welding hood with riveted leather on both the top and bottom of the shell. Full coverage, compact profile, built for field work.
The top and bottom leather bibs are permanently riveted — not snapped, not glued. They block light, spatter, and arc flash from above and below while keeping the hood light at just 12 oz.
The shell is US-made thermoplastic with a chopped profile that reduces bulk and clears tight spaces. Less shell means less weight — and more leather means more protection where it counts.

How It Works
01
Flip-front design.
The lens flips up and locks so you can inspect your weld, grind, or set up your next joint without pulling the hood off your head. Flip down when you're ready to strike.
02
Standard 2x4 lens opening.
The Phanthom Pro accepts any standard 2" × 4" welding lens — passive or auto-darkening. No proprietary lens sizes. Use whatever shade or brand you already run.
03
Quick lens swap.
Lenses slide in and out in seconds. Switching from a passive shade to an auto-dark insert (or swapping a cracked cover lens) takes no tools and no downtime.
04
Adjust and go.
The headgear adjusts to fit your head with or without a cap underneath. Set the tension once, and it holds. The hood stays where you put it — up or down.
What Makes It Different
Full Leather Coverage
Riveted leather on top and bottom. Blocks spatter and light from above and below — no exposed shell underneath your chin. Built for overhead work, stick welding, and anywhere arc flash comes from more than one direction.
Lighter Than You'd Think
At 12 oz, the Phanthom Pro is actually lighter than the standard Phanthom. Leather replaces heavier shell material on the bottom, so you get more coverage at less weight. Not a tradeoff — an upgrade.
Standard 2x4 Lens
US-made thermoplastic shell with a reduced profile. Clears pipe racks, fits in confined spaces, and doesn't catch on everything around you. Riveted construction throughout — no weak points.
Chopped and Built for the Field
US-made thermoplastic shell with a riveted leather bib on top. Handles drops, heat, and spatter. This hood was made for the field, not a display shelf.
Is This Hood for You?
This hood is for you if:
You weld overhead and want full spatter coverage
You run a lot of stick and deal with heavy slag
You want a hood that's balanced and doesn't fight you
You want leather protection on top and bottom without adding weight
You'd rather have one hood that covers everything than piece together extras
This hood is not for you if:
You prefer a minimal, shell-only setup
You want a removable or detachable bottom bib
You're looking for the absolute cheapest option
You don't care about coverage below the chin
Customer Reviews
Overall rating: 4.8 / 5 from 4 reviews.
Really nice light comfy welding hood, I do wish yall made a halo to go on a hard hat though!!!!!
Product was fantastic and definitely exceeded expectations. But communication from the company was fairly poor. I received it about 1 full week late and it was like pulling teeth to get a tracking number. Once the label was created and tracking number issued USPS didn’t even have it for 2 full days.
Lightweight, quality finish. Only thing I can complain about is no option for banded headgear. I prefer that style, just took one off an old hood. Problem solved.
