REPCO USA · Phantom Series

Buy the hood once. Keep it.

US-made shell · Riveted leather · Tensioned flip-up

The hood you keep, not the one you replace every 18 months.

A thermoplastic shell made in the USA. Leather riveted on, not glued. A flip-up tensioned to hold its position. This one was built to sit outside the rebuy cycle — so you set it up and get back to work.

What you're actually buying

Four things that decide whether a hood lasts

01
A white Phantom welding hood on a steel table showing the solid glossy shell

The shell is made in the USA.

A thermoplastic shell, made here, finished in automotive-grade paint. It takes the knocks a hood takes on a jobsite — dropped off a bench, thrown in a truck bed, set down on hot steel — and holds its shape and its finish.

02

The leather is riveted on, not glued.

Glue is where a bib starts to lift — heat and time work it loose at the edge, and once it peels the leather is done doing its job. Rivets are mechanical. They hold the leather to the shell and they keep holding it.

Riveted leather · mechanical, not adhesive
03
The Phantom flip-up lens raised and holding its position

The flip-up is tensioned to hold.

The flip-up is the part that decides a hood's life. Ours is reinforced and tensioned so it stops where you put it — up when you're fitting, down when you're burning — instead of going slack and drifting shut on you.

Reinforced, tensioned flip-up · engineered not to go slack
04
A welding lens seated in the Phantom's standard two-inch by four-inch opening

Standard 2"×4" opening. Nothing here strands you.

The lens opening is the standard 2"×4", so it runs any passive or auto-darkening lens from any welding supplier — including the one you already own. No proprietary cartridge, no part only we sell. A hood you keep can't have a lock-in on it.

The two ways this goes

The 18-month cycle, or the hood you keep

The way it usually goes

The rebuy cycle

  • The flip-up loosens somewhere around the 12-to-18-month mark.
  • One part is finished, so the whole hood gets replaced.
  • A good shell and good leather go in the bin with the broken part.
  • You've stopped expecting anything else, so it's a budget line now.

The hood you keep

  • US-made shell, riveted leather, a flip-up tensioned to hold.
  • 1-year warranty on the hood, the flip-up and the headgear.
  • If something does break inside the year, it gets repaired — not replaced.
  • Standard 2"×4" opening, so no part of it locks you in.
  • Free headgear and aluminium fasteners with every hood — lighter and less corrosive than steel.

And if it does break, you don't buy another hood.

Inside the 1-year warranty on the hood, flip-up and headgear: you ship it in, we repair it free and ship it back to you. You cover the shipping to us, and that's the whole cost. As the operator puts it — we don't make you throw the whole thing out when one piece fails.

One more thing

Set it up right the first time.

You got this far because you’d rather buy a hood and keep it than rent one from the rebuy cycle. Same thinking applies to what goes in it: a hood built to hold up deserves the lens seated in it from day one, not a borrowed one you meant to replace.

So there’s a kit built around the Phantom Pro. The hood, the lens that goes in it, and the gloves are on us. It’s called the Phantom Arsenal.
